The Grand Duchy Duchy Dutch of Le Duche is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Ronald Grump with an iron fist, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 16.677 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lindblum. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.

Airport security is provided by private companies, motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours, Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed, and Melanias are becoming popular in pet stores nationwide. Crime is crippling. Le Duche's national animal is the Melania, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Trump.

Le Duche is ranked 1st in Flavian Amphitheatre and 3rd in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 38 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
