The Democratic Republic of Dharmarajya is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its irreverence towards religion. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 499 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dharmarajya City. The average income tax rate is 71%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets, gambling is outlawed, military funding has been stripped back, and the government enforces a policy of 'from each according to their ability, to each according to the available budget'. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dharmarajya's national animal is the Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Rupee.

Dharmarajya is ranked 1st in The United Peace Front and 84,343rd in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring -2 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
